+20% Tire Life with Crossfire TPMS

Crossfire Installed

So how can we say that you will increase your truck tire life by 20% just by having the Crossfire Tire Pressure Monitoring System or TPMS?

I have over 30 years experience in the tire industry and it is common knowledge that incorrect tire pressures results in at least 20% lost tire wear – what that means is that you are only using 80% of your tires potential life instead of 100%.

Have you noticed that the tire industry haven’t created or actively promote any form of tire pressure monitoring system?  Why would they promote something that is going to decrease their sales?   In saying that, due to the huge increase of tire requirements and the impact increased tire production is having on the environment, tire companies are beginning to investigate tpms on a bigger scale.

So how can the Crossfire Dual Tire Pressure Equalization System gain you 20% tire life, improve casing life and save on fuel costs:

  • correct pressure will increase overall tire mileage
  • correct tire pressure improves casing retreadability
  • decreases  the tires rolling resistance for better fuel economy
  • simple colour coded display monitoring dual tires with easily accessible single point inflation
  • equalizing dual tires improves stability and reduces brake heat buildup
  • simple and easy installation
  • benefits far outweigh the cost
  • pricing negotiable depending on quantity required
  • Made in America with a two year guarantee

How Crossfire works

The Crossfire is easily attached to the wheel stud, drive axle stud or hub cap.  Correctly mounted, air flows freely from one tire to the other, which ensures load distribution and tire pressure are matched evenly.

So how do I increase my tire wear from 80% to 100%. So firstly, we need to identify what the problems are:

Crossfire Under-Inflation Crossfire Over-Inflation

Under-inflation

20% under-inflation can cause a minimum 30% loss in tire life expectancy.

With just a glance from as far away as 20 feet, the Crossfire pressure equalizing valve indicates an under-inflation problem.

Over-inflation

20% over-inflation can cause a minimum 10% loss in tire life expectancy.

The Crossfire pressure equalizing valve signals an over-inflation problem which can dramatically shorten tire life.

Crossfire With Proper Air Pressure

Proper Inflation

Mounted correctly, Crossfire’s yellow indicator verifies that air is flowing freely from one tire to the other, equalizing the load.

The Road

New Zealand roads have a lot of camber, require a lot of cornering and are made from quite abrasive seal.  The camber of the road causes unequal tire loading.  As you can see in the chart below, the Crossfire will even out the load carrying of the dual tires ensuring wear is a lot more even.

Duals Without Crossfire

Inside Tire

  • 110% + Tire Load
  • More Brake Heat
  • Less Cooling Airflow
  • Higher Pressure
Duals Without Crossfire Outside Tire

  • 90% Tire Load
  • Less Heat
  • More Cooling Airflow
  • Lower Pressure

Blowouts and leaks

The Crossfire has an internal safely valve which closes immediately in the event of a blowout.  Only a slight loss of air occurs to the good tire.

If you happen to have a tire with a slow leak, the safely valve will isolate the dual tires after approx. 10 P.S.I. air loss.

Install and Save

Every kilometre you travel with Crossfire will save you money.

How much would you save if….

  • you increased your tire mileage by 20%?
  • you improved your casing retreadability?
  • you increased your fuel economy by 5%?

Crossfire Components will help you achieve this!!!
